Each signature Glizzy is named after a significant figure or institution from the city’s rich African American legacy — from Maggie L. Walker and Gabriel Prosser to Jackson Ward and John Dabney. Every bite tells a story of resilience, creativity, and excellence.

With a Southside Richmond upbringing and years of traveling the world collecting flavors and inspiration, founder D. Maurice created RVA Glizzy’s as a love letter to the city that helped shape them. We believe food is one of the best ways to celebrate where we come from.
